Description

Aileron is a garter stitch beanie worked seamlessly from the bottom up. It features alternating columns of slipped stitches, spaced evenly apart. Each column is two thirds of the Hat depth in length, with one starting at the brim, the next at the crown and so on, creating a sense of movement throughout. It has a fitted crown.

Aileron is a beanie designed to make the most of hand painted sock yarns. Featuring offset columns of slipped stitches, the Hat is a quick and enjoyable knit.

Pattern is provided in 6 sizes, and is constructed bottom up and in the round.

This pattern was originally published in 2016 as a pattern for Craftsy kits, and as a single premium pattern. As of June 2021, it’s been made available for free!
