It's all go here, I tell you..

This is Noma, a Hat designed roughly a year ago. I donated this design to the KCG (Knitting & Crochet Guild, UK) and it has just been published in no.127 of their journal, Slipknot. Alongside it there is also a short article about head measuring and getting a good fit for Hats.

Supporting the Guild is important to me, yet due to my travels and lifestyle helping out at shows or at Lee Mills (where the collection is based) is nigh on impossible. The Guild does a lot of valuable work and has the most amazing collection of knitting and crochet paraphernalia and it takes a lot of time, effort and money to keep everything running. This is something I can do - I can donate a pattern and help raise awareness of the Guild with the hope of increasing interest and membership.

The Hat is knitted in some of Babylonglegs gorgeous handspun and gives an approximate DK gauge (22 sts to 10cm/4"). The pattern includes 3 sizes 48.5cm/19",  53.5cm/21", 58.5cm/23" - the garter stitch is super stretchy and forgiving of slight differences in gauge or size. Tom's modelling the largest size, and it fit over my former huge 25" dread-head.

The pattern is only available in Slipknot, so if you want a copy you need to join the KCG!
