Following on from the Picot Cast-on, here’s how to add that same decorative finish to the end of your knits!

The picot cast-off is a versatile, decorative cast-off that looks perfect around the edges of Hats, cuffs, baby clothes, and much more.

Based on the standard cast-off and cable cast-on, the number of stitches cast off can be varied, depending on how much space between each picot you prefer and how small or large you like your picots.

1) Using the standard cast-off method, cast off 2 stitches.

2) Slip the right needle behind the next stitch on the left needle.

3) Using the cable cast-on method, cast on 2 stitches. Then using the regular cast-off method, cast off 5 stitches.

4) Repeat steps 1 to 3 until desired number of stitches have been cast off.
