Twisted Woolly Toppers, the cover!

The cover is done! Well, there may be some more tweaking (I'm in perfectionist photo editing mode) yet this is how it will basically look, and after many false starts I'm really happy with how it looks. The type is much more crisp in real life, it's looking a little fuzzy due to the low web-friendly compression.
Photo editing is taking longer than I expected... and it's not helping that Tom is still avoiding the camera; his are the only photos we're really waiting on. I've been building a gallery in the Portfolio pages of various different shots, as I think this will help show different views and perspectives, many of which there just isn't space to show in the book. And the book's main webpage is growing slowly too - it won't be long before you'll be able to pre-order!
It's been a busy week; editing and layouts and more editing and then trying to decide which photos are better can be pretty exhausting. Somewhere in the last week I've had a birthday, too. I'm sure I'm not the first to celebrate less and less as each year passes, yet we had a nice meal out and I got a day off (which is always a bonus)
There's some new knitting on the needles, to help give my mind and eyes a break from the constant computer work:

Can you tell what it is yet?
Despite being forecast snow, it's a warm and sunny day which most definitely helps raise the spirits; spring is in the air. There's not long to go with the book now, so better get on, I had.

Yay; that means it's closer to being done. The anticipation is building!!!
The cover looks lovely! Can't wait for the book.
Nice cover. But why is it Hats in the tagline? Lowercase hats would look a lot better -- OR -- you could cap the whole word HATS so it would look intentional, not like a possible mistake. And I'm sure it's way too late -- and the picture is lovely -- but next time you might want to show more of the hat than the scarf and your model's appealing face, which will attract people to the book. Sorry for being so picky;I've been an editor for 45 years and think about these things a lot.
Some interesting points, thank you Luise!
Regarding the capitalised Hats - that's something I do, that most people are familiar with, like a Wormhead tag if you like. Hats always gets capitalised in my books, patterns, on the website etc, so have kept it the same for consistency. To be honest, seeing hats in lower caps bothers me..
With photos, especially for the cover, it's tricky getting a good balance between showing the knitted item and having a generally pleasing look. It's been found that the smiling face is more likely to draw people in that a closer detail of the Hat (or other knit); a rear view, or side view with little of Silvia's face showing wouldn't be as seductive as a front view. This photo has reasonable balance (it could be better but another photo shoot isn't possible) between some Hat detail and a pleasant model & scene.
I'm open to feedback and suggestions as nothing is cast in stone yet, and you've given me a different perspective which is always welcome!
I've just looked at the portfolio pages. What lovely pictures.
The picture you've chosen for the cover is absolutely charning, well done!

Er.... Is it a Hat?!:-)
Re my previous message...that would be "charming" not "charning" :-)
