This pattern-in-development has two parts...

Firstly, there is the beret. With it's folded brim and a gentle picot edge, the Hat features textured stripes that feed all the way into the crown...

... and finishes off with a cute little I-cord.

Then there's the beanie version. This Hat features a much deeper brim, with the same characteristic texture pattern and the same attention to detail at the crown.

Both versions will be included in the pattern. They use Aran weight yarn and will come in a whole host of sizes, as you'd expect from a WW Hat. It's not a difficult knit, and I have tutorials for the folded brim aspect to help you through. It's worked bottom up and in the round (the folded brim is worked first).

The problem is, is that for the life of me I can't find a suitable name for the pair! I seem to be finding it harder and harder to name my designs... sometimes they come straight to me, but these two... these two have given me brain fog.

So I thought I'd throw it out there :)

Leave a comment on this blog post (not Facebook or Twitter, sorry!) with your suggestion, and don't forget to fill in your email addy in the relevant field so I can get hold of you. I'll then make a selection by January 27th. Whoever makes the winning suggestion can pick one of my eBooks as their prize.

Sound fair enough?
