Vlora is modern brimmed beret knit sideways on straight needles, and suits a wide range of people. The gentle swirls use a simple cable twist technique which add interest to the softly slouchy body.

The pattern is available as a regular beret (not shown) as well the soft brimmed beret shown here.

Sizes:

• To fit size: 18 (20, 22) inches, 45.5 (51, 56)cm
• Finished size: 14.75 (17.25, 19.75) inches, 37.5 (43.75, 50)cm

Materials:

• 100g/220yds/201m Cascade 220
• Pair of 4mm straight needles
• Approx. 2m waste yarn
• Gauge 20sts x 26rows to 10cm/4inches

Skills required:

• Knit and purl stitches
• Basic twists or cables
• Provisional cast-on
• Kitchener stitch
• Short rows (w&t)
