This pretty tam was originally published in Knit On The Net magazine, and is now available as an individual pattern.

Inspired by Victorian caps, the lace droplet pattern circles around the Hat, creating an interesting concentric effect, with the shaping cleverly incorporated into the pattern.

Pattern is worked from the bottom up and includes charts for both the stitch pattern and the crown shaping. 

Sizes:

• To fit size: 19 (21, 23) in/48.25 (53.25, 58.5) cm
• Finished size: 15.5 (17.5, 19.5) in/39.5 (44.5, 49.5) cm

Materials:

• 100g/189m/207yds Natural Lancashire Farm Wool (100% British Breed Wool) 
• Set 3.5mm & 3.75mm DPNs
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers as necessary
• 20 sts x 28 rows to 4in/10cm 

Skills required:

• Knit and purl stitches
• Knitting in the round
• Increase & decrease techniques
• Lace
• Alternate cable/Tubular cast-ons
