A simple yet effective beanie with vertical stripes. The colourwork in this Hat is made much easier due to it’s sideways construction. Ideal pattern to introduce the knitter to the techniques used throughout this book.

Materials:

• 50g/70m/77yds each of MC & CC Queensland Collection Uruguay Chunky
• Pair of 5mm straight needles
• Approx. 2m waste yarn
• Gauge 16sts x 22rows to 10cm/4inches

Skills required:

• Knit and purl stitches
• Provisional cast-on
• Kitchener stitch
• Short rows (w&t)
