Those shiny new book projects? They're coming along just nicely.

Turning Heads is a labour of love and won't be rushed, and I can't say yet when that'll be published. But I'm working on it, getting the patterns that I've written so far polished up and off for testing and editing.

Painted Woolly Toppers is galloping along at such a pace that I'm not even sure I've had time to say that much about it! It is, as the title suggests, a collection of Hats designed with handpainted and hand dyed yarns in mind.

This Hat, which will be the 2nd pattern to be published from the collection, has a working title of 'Aniram' - kinda like Marina on it's side. Yet it's not all that appealing as a name, and I figured I'd post it here and ask for a bit of help?

Worked in Malabrigo Merino Worsted, the adapted seafoam stitch is gorgeous with the variegated colours. And I especially loves these shots I took with Diane last October!

The pattern is already back from testing and editing and is pretty much ready to be published. It has written and charted instructions, comes in 4 sizes, and also includes a tutorial for the cast on.

But it has no name...

What would you call this Hat? Does the construction or stitch pattern trigger a connection to something?

I'll leave this open for 10 days, and the winning name will not only get you a copy of the pattern, but it will also get you a copy of the Painted Woolly Toppers eBook! (which will go on pre-release in the not too distant future - watch this space!)

Please leave a comment on this blog post (*not* Twitter, FB, IG etc - sorry :) and don't forget to leave you email address in the relevant field so I can get in touch if I pick your suggestion!

I'm looking forward to hearing your suggestions! This whole collection feels pretty exciting at the moment and I can't wait to share more of them with you :)
