An afternoon at the lake

At this time of year, when the river has completely dried up, Tom takes Aran to the lake for their afternoon frolics and to cool down a little. Usually I work on through, except today, I took the afternoon off. We dusted down the waterproof case for my old Canon Ixus 430 and took the camera along for some fun.

It was lovely to cool down for a few hours and spend some time in the water with my boys...

When they go to the lake tomorrow, I'll be back to work and overheating. There's a heck of a lot to be done this week, and it'll be worth it, I promise!

Sounds, and looks, like you all had the perfect Sunday Afternoon...
Sometimes, taking the time to have fun makes all the difference <3
