A brand new book has just been published, featuring the creations of 15 designers in gorgeous Shetland Yarn. Produced by Jamieson & Smith, and released to coincide with their 65th birthday, the book is now available to purchase in print, with a digital version being available shortly.

I love the mix of designers included - from the classic and local to the contemporary and internal. A real variety, offering something for everyone, covering just about every knitting style and technique.

And I have a design in the book! This vintage inspired Hat features a band that's knit flat, then the stitches are picked up for the body and crown, which is finished with one of my favourite spiral patterns. I even found some perfect vintage buttons from the Make Do and Mend fair in Liverpool during spring last year.

I was extremely flattered to be asked to contribute a design to the book, and after the previous designs I created for them (Enroule & Filigree) they again told me that they wanted something typically Woolly Wormhead; that they wanted to demonstrate the versatility of Shetland Wool, and I think they've achieved just that.

The whole collection was tech edited by the lovely Jen Arnall-Culliford, who copy edited Bambeanies for me. And the introduction is by Kate davis, who has no doubt written a wonderful and throughful intro.

If you'd like to get your hands on this pattern, then hop on over to Jamieson and Smith and order yourself a copy. If you click on the image above you can get a closer look at all of the patterns included. I'm itching to get my hands on a copy!
