**I have had a lot of emails asking for this pattern. Currently, it is only available in the latest issue of Yarn Foward (no. 22, March 2010). You can buy this magazine in your local store, or buy single issues or subscriptions from Yarn Forward directly.

This pattern will not be available separately, either as a download from this site or in print from your LYS before June 2010. Before this date I will not be able to sell you a copy. For more information, please read the remainder of this post. Thank you! **

The first published Wormhead design of 2010!

With this design, I deliberately went with something simple, something that could be knit quickly in a chunky yarn, and something that emulates high street fashion. My cousin modelled 3 Hats for me, including Everglade, and of all them, this one was her favourite.

There's nothing especially complicated about the Weekender beret. A tutorial is included in the magazine for a tubular cast-on (which will be added to this website shortly for download) which is recommended for a good edge to the 1x1 rib. Otherwise, it uses a bias eyelet rib for the body and stocking stitch for the crown.

Knitted from Rowan Cocoon, which gives this Hat it's fantastic drape. The yarn blocks out really well, giving plenty of slouch - if you don't want it as slouchy, don't block it as much!

Issue 22 of Yarn Forward hits the shelves this week, and as always, after 6 months the rights to the pattern revert back and it will be added to my own pattern line. Enjoy!

Thank you for all the name suggestions for the Hat with no name! With it being Tom's birthday yesterday and Aran being a touch poorly (not sure what's wrong, but nothing major) I haven't decided yet, but there are several great suggestions!
