The Mouse Hat

This blog's been lacking the wee dude lately, so here he is. Wye Sue knitted this Hat for Aran when I was pregnant...

A chin strap might not keep a Hat on a determined childs' head, but it can prevent them from losing it completely by keeping said Hat attached to the neck.

I don't know the origins of the pattern (indeed, there are non-Wormhead Hats in this home!) - you'll need to check with Sue.

There are also patterns for bears & ducks hats & hands in the same book...
